Privacy policy

How AmaniHost handles your personal data. Last updated: 30 October 2026.

Data controller

Data we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), whether you are an owner or a guest, villa details or stay dates, number of guests, preferred villa and your message.
  • Email, phone or WhatsApp exchanges: what you choose to share with us.
  • Technical data: our host temporarily logs connection data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) to run and secure the site.

The site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Replying to your request: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
  • Performing the villa management contract or organising your stay: contract (art. 6.1.b).
  • Running and securing the site, preventing spam: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).
  • Meeting accounting and tax obligations: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).

We never sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

Recipients

Only the AmaniHost team, and our technical providers within the scope of their service: Netlify, Inc. (hosting and form submissions), Google (email) and WhatsApp/Meta if you message us there. Data needed for a booking is shared with the booking platform and, where needed, the villa owner.

Transfers outside the EU

Some providers may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies, or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Retention

  • Enquiries with no follow-up: 3 years after our last contact.
  • Client data: for the duration of the relationship, then 5 years.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 10 years.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to set instructions for after your death. Write to amani.host@gmail.com; we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about minors.
